During 2007 Ballooning Adventures established an operational base in Italy, flying from a private airfield near Lake Como, which lies approximately 25 miles North of Milan.

The weather in Italy is generally perfect for ballooning. The gentle winds and good weather ensure that we fly most days. We plan on flying each morning, leaving the rest of the day free for other activities.

Flights are planned to last for one hour although they often last longer as we tend to adopt a more Italian approach to life.

The return can also be a little delayed as the locals are very friendly and often join our Champagne celebration after landing, contributing their own wine, local cheeses and other delicacies.

Como is less then 1 hours drive from either Milan Malpensa or Milan Bergamo airports. There is also a regular train service from Milan Centrale. We can assist with travel and accommodation arrangements.

We also provide sea plane flights and boat charters on Lake Como, through our sister company, Adventure Italia.

Seaplanes have operated from the historic Aero Club Como since 1913. Water flying is a fantastic way to explore the Italian lakes, mountains, towns and famous villas of Como.
